What is iron deficiency anemia?
Iron deficiency anemia (IDA) is a decrease in the number of red
blood cells because of a shortage of iron in the body.
IDA is the most common form of anemia. In the United
States, approximately 20% of all women, 50% of pregnant
women, and 3% of men are iron deficient. (9) Left untreated,
these deficiencies may progress to iron deficiency anemia.

WARNING: Hemochromatosis and hemosiderosis are contraindications to iron therapy. Accidental overdose of iron-containing products is a leading cause of fatal poisoning in children under 6. Keep this product out of reach of children. In case of accidental overdose, call a doctor or poison control center immediately.
